Dan O'Brien also wrote Buffalo for the Broken Heart, which is his nonfiction memoir of converting his cattle ranch to a bison ranch. It is a must read, as far as I'm concerned, especially for fans of the West who have an interest of how the lifestyle of the 1800s has evolved into modern times. Just a great book, and O'Brien continues to ranch bison and sell the meat. A great story all around.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10070278104646895235noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3434602314756730550.post-5800387644841510612010-11-30T17:36:11.468-08:002010-11-30T17:36:11.468-08:00John G. His story, "Shingling the Fog" is really funny. Like a good ol' boy from Pawnee City would say, "now that right there is funny."Neil A. I prefer My Antonia, a truly blessed novel well anchored in the American literary canon. I also cherish Death Comes for the Archbishop. My wife has a signed, boxed first edition, which she rightly keeps in a fireproof safe. She is a Cather scholar.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3434602314756730550.post-14779690174513433462010-11-30T08:17:09.898-08:002010-11-30T08:17:09.898-08:00Richard, thanks for mentioning Harold Lloyd.
