I know a fair bit about mining machinery because I work for a paper that writes extensively about construction and infrastructure projects including mining equipment. So these stories should be an interesting read. Over the past few months I have come across a few novels set around western mining camps such as "Silver and Gold: A Story of Luck and Love in a Western Mining Camp" by Dane Coolidge which appears to be fairly popular on the ebooks network.
