What is LA without valet parking? I found this row of smartly uniformed valets at the end of one day this week. They were waiting in line for arrivals at the dedication of a sound stage at the new Cinema Arts School near where I work.
One VIP, George Lucas, I was told, had already arrived. No business like show business.
Photo-finish Friday is the bright idea of Leah Utas over at
The Goat's Lunch Pail.
Nice line, Ron.
ReplyDeleteThey appear to be waiting for someone imortant to show up!
ReplyDeleteFunny, we were talking valets just yesterday. That's the new way for college athletes to get around being given money by boosters. They go to a fancy restaurant, the owner has them "valet for a while" and a line of boosters has them move their cars around, slipping them a few c-notes as a "tip." Those crafty bastards....
ReplyDeleteCool Photo--looks a lot like things here in Wyoming--today is April first, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteLots of valets, no waiting!
ReplyDeletelove this photo. Looking forward to seeing next fridays!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great photo. Almost looks like Buckingham Palace.
ReplyDeleteThe only valet I ever had the pleasure to meet was in Atlantic City. That was many years ago and involved some Hungarian acrobats.
