Brenda Mae Tarpley, born 1944, Atlanta, Georgia. First big hit, "Jambalaya" in 1956, at the age of 11. "I'm Sorry" released in 1960.

    A little lady with a big voice. Her career has to be one of the longest, if not the longest, of any singer in history.

    I haven't heard her sing since we both were children. Will look for her on you tube. "I'm Sorry" was quite an amazing song.
