Photo-finish Friday: out and about

Angels Flight, the funicular and world's shortest railway on the slope of Bunker Hill in downtown Los Angeles, gets a new paint job. Photo-finish Friday is the bright idea of Leah Utas over at The Goat's Lunch Pail.

Coming up: James Stewart, Audie Murphy, Night Passage (1957)

  1. I don't remember all those buildings being near the funicular. But the last time I was by there was in the early '50s.

    1. There's probably not a thing left of 1950s Bunker Hill. What you see in the background of the pic are the office buildings that have sprung up there. Though still the original structure, Angels Flight was moved to its present location from along an entrance to the 3rd Street tunnel.
