Saturday music, Bobby Darin



Walden Robert Cassotto, born 1936 in The Bronx, New York. "Splish Spash" was co-written by Darin and Murray "the K" Kaufman and recorded in 1958.

  2. Bobby Darin was under appreciated in his lifetime. Partly because he was comfortable in all genres of music and didn't pigeonhole himself in one, the music critics didn't know how to describe him. Today you will find him listed as one of the best musicians, song writers, performers and some of the best known of today's best musicians give him credit for inspiring them.
    Kevin Spacey tried his best when he made Beyond The Sea, but he should have let Bobby's own voice be heard. He also needed a better script. He's a great actor, he loved Bobby's music and I'm grateful that it finally got made.

    In regard to the video, the second close-up of a girl (the one with her hair pulled back) is his step sister VeeVee.
